Whow, that was fast. Time in Portland really passed enermously quick the last weeks. But time now to say good bye to this wonderful city… 6 months are actually a good time frame to get a good insight to a new place.

Things I’ll miss:

1. Friendly service (yes, they got the point about selling things with a smiling face)
2. Getting food easily. On every corner, there’s a restaurant that offers great meals to go. And this is not only Pizza or Chineese food
3. My Portland friends
4. Skydiving on Sundays
5. Damned, the IPA!
6. It’s almost smoke-free
7. My apartment view
8. Going for a walk at Willamette River after lunch with Rick and Larry
9. The one-dollar-note (didn’t they want to introduce a one-euro-note?!)
10. Stargate SG-1 in English
11. Driving a car

Things I’m looking forward to in Germany:

1. Dark bread (No more squezable sugar bread!!!)
2. My comforter to wrap myself into
3. My family and friends
4. Caipi
5. Clubbing
6. News. Finally news with content and well researched facts! No more message hiding behind action filled trailers and commercials
7. Smaller cars that don’t block the front view
8. Warm apartment
9. Money doesn’t stink that badly
10. Hmm, a new car?
11. Meals being sized more reasonabley (oh yeah, I gotta fight this damned belly-thingy!)

Yes I guess, that’s it for now. For sure, there are more things, but these are the most important ones.

I just came back from my amazing holiday trip with Barbara. We have been seeing so much in these 10 days it’s hard to really remember everything in detail. 3870 miles speak for themselves. You’ll hopefully understand that preparing the pictures will take me some days…

Weired thing - just 90 miles away, St. Helen’s becomes active again!!! Can even see it from my apartment. Sorry that the web cam is down will try to fix that tomorrow…
