Whow, just one week is left and we will head to your vacation to Berlin - yeah!
…had a look at www.my-symbian.com after a long time of inactivity and found some great new proggies there: Finally, there’s a handy solution for storing passwords and other secret stuff on Symbian phone! With Handy Safe, there’s a proggy now that runs on communicator and a desktop client that can be synchronized with each other. Extensibility seems better than what I’m used from eWallet (which doesn’t exist for Symbian.
Another useful thing might be the Bluetooth keyboard driver, but I didn’t test that one yet.
For Handy Safe, you can download a 14-day-trial which you really should test out!
Every semester, my university celebrates a MediaNight, an event for students to present their projects. This year, there were some great computer animations and video clips (check out www.iArm.de for instance) and great software projects done by the MedienInformatik guys!
Bluetooth is everywhere! Some projects built up gateways for the BTKit (see the netads site), wireless communication and vehicle tracking for embedded linux (see the MediaNight Site for more info) and a nice proggy for storing passwords and secret data on symbian phone and desktop! This project called “JKnox” is a nice approach based on Eclipse framework for the desktop. It’s even set up as a Sourceforge project!
