About Me
Who I am and what I'm doing

In summer 2002, I finished my studies in "Informatics of media" at Hochschule der Medien, HdM in Stuttgart. During this time, I put my main focus on software design and software development. Several projects woke my fascination in building distributed and web-based applications.

Two internships of 6 months length each were part of my studies. The first one I spent at HP Consulting, where I mainly worked on developing prototypes in the fields of Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG), Topic Maps and document management systems. The second internship, I worked at SCHEMA, a company in Nürnberg. SCHEMA develops software and solutions for documentation and information management. My main task was developing a web client for their CMS.

During my studies, I founded the company WebApplic GmbH with a fellow student. We worked in numerous projects developing web- and portal-applications and software in the field of document management.

My diploma thesis I wrote about "Web services for application integration in distributed systems, with J2EE server applications and .NET clients".

Currently I'm working as a ssystems planner at Daimler AG, Stuttgart. You will find more information on my job here.

Beside work, I try to spend as much of my time as possible with sports of every kind. Depending on seasonal weather conditions I like skydiving, skiing, biking, jogging, rock klimbing, fitness training, inline skating... all that stuff you probably do for yourself as well. Unfortunately, time is always too short when doing all that.

Besides that: friends, clubbing, music, playing the piano (which always get's a raw deal)...
